About Me
I'm a Chicana artist from San Antonio, Texas now stranded somewhere far away in space and time, maybe even further than Pluto and some 300 years off center. My vision for art and storytelling incorporates an eclectic mix of subverted Catholic imagery from my Mexican and Italian heritage with lush surreal dreamscapes. Although, sometimes they can turn a bit nightmarish. This obsession with dreams and the unconscious could be considered a morbid curiosity, but it drives most of my creativity.
I often focus on stories dealing with mental illness, as someone who lives with schizoaffective disorder. Also being a survivor of sexual abuse, I go into stories to bring awareness and hopefully healing by showing characters with similar experiences. Often these characters are also LGBTQ+ as I am part of that community. I am a lesbian and non-binary femme, and love to write and draw sapphic characters.
These characters are fully realized people in my art, the graphic art style taking from the many unique faces and diverse bodies of my world. I gravitate towards writing about Chicanos and its experience with the intersection with being Queer. But as grounded as these elements are, my story telling gets absorbed in bizarre dream worlds where Fae and Vampires alike live among us and in the in between. You should hope they are just allegories, though :).
I am currently working on short stories and graphic novels in my home with three cats to keep me good company.

in the back of your brain, way there in the corner, you can barely see me. But once you look, you'll notice I was there. But now, I have gone to other dreams.
